In its last release FY 06, the Defense Environmental Programs Report to Congress (DEPARC) notes the environmental clean up of the former Big Lagoon Bombing Target Range in Humboldt County, CA, has once again been postponed several more years.
The clean up project which has been on a long list of the military's hazardous clean up sites for years now is estimated to cost the federal government almost $8.5 million in FY '07 dollars and the start date was tentatively pushed into FY '08 for budget estimating purposes.
