Smithsonian national land survey shows U.S. indigenous languages and maps tribes

This graphic was originally produced by William Sturtevant for the Smithsonian Institution in 1967 and also used by the U.S. Geological Services in an attempt to map 18 U.S. indigenous languages and the general ancestral territories of tribes associated with those languages.
