Authors of Port Huron casino bill are among the least powerful in Michigan's congressional delegation

The co-authors of a bill, H.R. 2176, to grant, by Act of Congress, approval of a Bay Mills Indian Community off-reservation casino in Port Huron, Michigan are Rep. Bart Stupak and Rep. Candice Miller.

According to Congress.org, Stupak is the least powerful among Michigan's six-member delegation of House Democrats; and there is only one other Republican that ranks lower than Miller in Michigan's nine-member GOP House delegation.
