Saubel ousted as Los Coyotes chairwoman; new tribal chair has been compensated by Barwest

At a meeting of the Barstow City Council on 1.07.08, BarWest spokesman Tom Shields revealed that Katherine Siva Saubel had been ousted as chair/spokesperson of the Los Coyotes Band of Cahuilla and Cupeno Indians sometime in December 2007.

The new tribal chair/spokesperson is Francine Kuspch. Francine has been the "star" of several moments of political theater staged by BarWest in its quest to win approval to develop casinos in Barstow. Political disclosure documents indicate Barwest has previously compensted Kupsch for some of her "starring" roles.

Controversy erupted last fall when Saubel, then tribal chairwoman, wrote a letter terminating the Los Coyotes tribe's relationship with Barwest and Michael Malik. Saubel's communications referred to Malik as "the devil." Saubel indicated Malik had "seduced" younger members of her tribe.

I will give credit to Barwest in that they will do anything to get what they want. I mean if you were the tribe they were representing you would have a pitbull on your hands willing to do anything. The only problem, Los Coyotes are deluded if they think they have a chance. How many ways does the state and federal governments have to say NO before they realize that No means NO! The truly sad part is that the tribe is quickly becoming a joke as the puppet of this shady developer. I wish I could fault Barwest completely but they are just doing what any business would do, try to make as much money as possible. Hell if you give a monkey a gun and it shoots someone you don't blame the monkey. If only Barwest could use their power for good instead of evil. Laff

to me this site is nothing more than a lie for people to think they are telling the truth of such stories.
stories like this just make me sick to know people believe what they read without proving the actual proof in front of them. pretty sad.......

Anon- Yet you do come here to see what is going on, weird huh? If you don't like what is on the site then don't come here. Obviously you are a Los Coyote or a Coyote supporter, so you are obviously biased.

Shane,

23,000+ people from across the United States have visited this site (among them: reporters, state and federal legislative aides, financial analysts, law enforcement officials, lawyers, various Indian tribes, etc.), and they apparently find it quite useful.

Regarding this particular post, everything is verifiable either from recorded public comment, pubished news accounts or in documentation obtained by TVT. We challenge anyone to prove something different.

Not surprising, the lightweights that make up the Los Coyotes/Tom Shields clan make posts like this on TVT from time to time but never provide anything factual or verifiable to back up their substanceless nonsense.

Katherine Saubel knew what was going on; that's why she cancelled the agreement with Malik, Shields and the other double-talking casino syndicators from Detroit.

It was interesting that the new leaders of Los Coyotes made the trip to Barstow as in indication that they COULD commute to Barstow to work and manage a casino there.

What those three individuals failed to mention is that in the past BarWest has paid them (and even some of their family members) to appear in Barstow. The City Clerk of Barstow has documents that prove it.

TVT has welcomed more than 178,000 unique vistors

TVT, founded in December 2006, has averaged more than 20,000 visitors annually. It is produced with the support of scores of individuals from coast-to-coast, each a volunteer citizen activist/jounalist, who review tips and compile the verifiable details and documents that are the hallmark of our content.

Since our first post, more than 178,000 visitors have accessed the details compiled uniquely at TVT.

The citizen activists behind TVT wish to extened a big "THANK YOU" to all those who have provided "tips" -- contributed pictures, documents, link suggestions, leads, reports, insight and comments. Your trust and confidence in TVT has allowed us to create a comprehensive resource that thousands of others -- including bloggers, journalists, Members of Congress and other local citizen activists around the country -- have come to rely upon.

We invite feedback and constructive comment and want you to know you are welcome to do that here in "comments" or by contacting us directly and confidentially via allverifiable@gmail.com
